No there wasn't any types of games there.
Security Officer (Former Employee), Washington, DC – June 6, 2013
Pros: there was no game rooms but there was plenty of wildlife on the property, deers, foxes, racoons since the building was right next to rock creek park.
Cons: working 7 days a week because of short on staff.
The day would start with gearing up for my weapon and than to roll call briefing, and after that I would go to my assigned post for the day and perform access control, Meeting and greeting the employees or the visitors and checking everyone for the proper Id badge entering and exiting the building. sometime we would be sent to different posts and some – more... are different from other, example checking for explosives inside Vehicle and under the Vehicle. Then there would be times that you would have to be the rover and patrol the exterior and the interior of the building. Another post you could be working with the metal detector and the x-ray machine and monitor the camera. I would say that the hardest part of the job would be trying your best to prevent any incidents of any types while working on my shift everyday . The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the employees leave for the day to go home after a hard day work , leaving safety to their love ones and pets if they have any. I would say that all the employees got along. – less

Quality Inspector (Former Employee), Union, SC – April 16, 2013
Pros: free dinners
Cons: employees activity, unfriendly enviroment
A day at Paragon consisted of finding what designated machine you would be running for the day. One could run anywhere from one to four machine at the same time. The hardest part of the job was fixing other employees mistakes on top of doing your own job. The supervisors were not friendly at all. The employees were doing things I didn't think people – more... did at work. The most enjoyable part of my job was getting off. – less

Fast paced environment to work at.
Senior Systems Engineer (Former Employee), Reston, VA – March 18, 2013
Cons: there were occasional free lunches back in 2009, however they ended shortly after i was hired.
A typical day at work would be assisting clients with software issues or developing/customizing software solutions for customers. Co workers on the most part were nice, so as management. It was a really small company supporting lots of customers. This made for a fast paced environment.

Experience as a security screener
Security screener/Assistant supervisor (Former Employee), Chantilly, VA – October 4, 2012
Pros: a work great experience and free visits to the statue of liberty
My job consisted of Screening for all medals and hazardous materials. My other duties consisted of frisk searches and bag searches. I learned that every security search is not the same its based on many different situations both psysical and mental as well as materially. My management here was good to me offered me a assistant supervisor position on – more... random days i enjoyed that. The assistant supervisor position gave me a opportunity to see this professional operation run from a different view. My co-workers was very professional in assisting customers during screening i really enjoyed working with everyone of them. The hardest part of my job was to have over 6,600 different ethinic speaking groups comprehend with what was needed by them during the screening process. The most enjoyable partt was knowing how important the statue of liberty meant to so many people world wide and i was responsible for keeping it safe along with national park police. – less

Productive work enviorment, and fun, but only if you have Seniority
Security (Former Employee), Skymark condos at Finch and Donmills – January 7, 2013
Pros: yes they do gave free lunch, only if you at the office;
Cons: yes, long hours are required if a guard do not shows up for work
Paragon has very good training, their employee are selected after vigorous training, good job placement, and good work environment; but every pay period, money was short on your cheque, if you discover it, you would have a refund, if not its your lost, They would send you to site, without advance notice, that how they work and you had to be there.

gained good people skills a this job
Security Guard (Current Employee), various locations – May 28, 2012
Pros: there something new to deal with everyday
Cons: bad schedules, poor respect factor in the workplace
typical day at work would be regular sprinkler and mechanical checks and lots of patrols. At work almost everyday you would learn something new about someone or even the location you work at. I've had the opportunity to work with some inspiring people including the management team but more in the field. The hardest part of the job for anyone doing it – more... would be to get through the day quickly and not have to look at the time, but at the same time just meeting with people and situations makes the job interesting – less

packaging designer assistent (Former Employee), wisbeach – May 22, 2012
Pros: the hours were flexible, nobody breathing down your neck, but work had to be competed by the end of the day
Cons: early start and long drives.
i would arive at 9:30am and as i arrive at my desk there would be work in my in tray. After i have gone through the work that in have to do for the day i would then go to the kitchen make the tea and cofee's then return back to the office; set up the gallas machine and the computers; go into the factory to collect meterials such as paper to use on the – more... gallas machine. When i returned the other workers would arriv and we would all start working up until lunch. The most fun part of the job was 'layed back friday' were everyone came to work in casual clothing instead of suits. i found it rather good as even though we were working there was a layed back enviroment. – less
