Valet Attendant, South San Francisco, CA - December 13, 2015
A typical day at work begins with me manning the valet station gate, I receive customers from early morning to afternoon. I meet and greet all customers that come, making sure that they receive the best possible customer service, by making their day easier. Helping them with baggage onto the shuttle bus that takes them to airport. Management is decent, can be better. What I learned from this job is how to deal with customers that are difficult, and making a difficult situation easy by trying to make the customer's needs first. The hardest part of the job is trying to manage the valet station gate on your own, but as the months went by it's a breeze, processing with the provided equipment can be daunting at first but in the there are ways around the frustration of the equipment either freezing, disconnecting or even logging you out of the system. Overall, the best part I like about the job are the people I made friends at Park N' Fly, at the experience with dealing with customers and making their day easier, learning how to drive a manual transmission, and the overall satisfaction of hard work, because you need to start from some where and this job is where I started from and I am forever grateful of this company.
