Pros: interesting work, solid workplace benefits, and no crazy behavior by workers or bosses' is tolerated.
Cons: inflexible as to work from home or varied work hours, lower pay than other such companies, and very hard to advance quickly.
If you like working at a large corporation that's bottom line is always how does this affect the stock price, then you would enjoy working here. It is a mostly male dominated industry with very few women in managerial or director roles. People toil away for over 20 years to make manager. If you are young and quick, you can advance to these roles in half the time. The compensation is on the low side of average. There are full benefits and various work-place programs. Overtime is often not expected and most people that work at this company are clock punchers. Some of the leaders are willing to teach you and mentor you and do value you. Unfortunately, a lot of others are just waiting around for their pension to kick-in and have no interest in advancing the company or bringing it into the 21st century.
