CT Scanner in Region undergoes upgrade The CT scanner at Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC) is getting a facelift. The Parkland Regional Health Authority (PRHA), through Manitoba Health, will be replacing the 'single slice' CT scanner with a state-of-the-art 16-slice unit.

MBTelehealth services enhanced in PRHA The Dauphin General Hospital Foundation has once again lent a helping hand to the MBTelehealth Program in the Parkland Region. Radiology services enhanced within PRHA The Parkland Regional Health Authority (PRHA) is pleased to announce that it has established new arrangements for enhanced radiologist services. Dr. H. Nguyen from Winnipeg has accepted a part-time position to provide on-site CT, X-ray and ultrasound services. Dr. Nguyen has provided interim radiologist services to Dauphin since 2004.

PRHA reviews eighth year operations The Parkland Regional Health Authority (PRHA) reviewed its eighth year of operation at its 2004-2005 Annual General Meeting on November 24, 2005. The informational meeting attracted about 100 people at St. Viator's Parish Hall in Dauphin. Chief Executive Officer André Rémillard presented an overview of the accomplishments and challenges of the fiscal year, which ended March 31, 2005.

PRHA Recognizes outstanding volunteers The Parkland Regional Health Authority (PRHA) held its second Volunteer Service Awards in conjunction with its 2004-2005 Annual General Meeting on November 24, 2005. The informational meeting attracted about 100 people at St. Viator's Parish Hall in Dauphin. PRHA Board Chair Merv Toderian says they were thrilled with the response.

New Primary Health Centers Waterhen - Primary health care centres aimed at strengthening access to services in rural Manitoba have officially opened in the Parkland communities of Camperville and Waterhen. The two new centres provide space for community health programs and services including expansion of the regional diabetes program, an improved mental health promotion strategy and further development of chronic disease prevention initiatives.
