Parkridge Medical Center provides health care services in southern Tennessee. The hospital also operates two satellite facilities: Parkridge East Hospital, another acute care facility, and Parkridge Valley Hospital, an adult and pediatric behavior health care facility. The hospitals, combined, have some 520 beds. Specialty services include cardiac surgery, orthopedics, and diagnostic imaging. The Sarah Cannon Cancer Center provides oncology therapeutics. Parkridge Medical Center is a subsidiary of HCA and is part of HCA's TriStar Health System.
Interestingly, Parkridge Medical Center is one of the few hospitals to list estimated prices for top services such as cardiology, infectious symptoms, OB-GYN, and rehab for both insured and uninsured patients so there will be fewer surprises when the final bill comes.
The Parkridge network moved to expand in 2012 when it announced plans to open a new adult psychiatric center called the Parkridge Valley Adult Services campus. As part of the proposal, adult psychiatric beds from the main Parkridge Medical Center campus and the Parkridge Valley campus will be transferred to the new facility. Pediatric psychology operations will remain at the Parkridge Valley campus. The company is working to purchase Cumberland Hall, a former Psychatric Solutions facility for $5 million, and will spend another $2.7 million to renovate the facility for its purposes – less
