A typical day at work here, 5:45A Shift exchange, 6am- running to catch your floor's lights. 6A-8A- Getting residents up and ready for the day. 9-11A- Miscellaneous Activities before lunch, call lights. 11:30A-1:30P- lunch and various activities again. 1:45P- Shift exchange again. 2P- running of the miscellaneous lights. 3P-5P- Escorts to and from dinner. 6P-10P- Assist residents who need it to get ready and into bed, shower, dressed etc.
Co Workers of all shifts are all hard working and very helpful. Hardest part of the job are lunches in the evenings for care staff. Full community or almost, and understaffed is very hard. Most enjoyable part is resident interaction, we get to see almost every one of the most sweetest residents (most days) there's a handful that aren't, but we go out of our to be kind to them even if they reciprocate it.
