Decent work environment; interesting projects
EQUIPMENT MANAGER (Former Employee) –  Westminster, COMay 24, 2017
A good place to work with interesting projects and people. I had to travel a lot which may not be good for employees with young kids. I would consider working at Parsons again if recruited.

Management has a tough time sticking to a strategy.
Senior Vice President, Operations (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXMay 22, 2017
Very nice people. Potential is there for Parsons to be one of the best E&C's in the world. Too many agendas with too few decision makers. Very difficult for company to focus or stick to a strategy.
Pros
Terrific people, terrific benefits, terrific opportunities
Cons
Excellent at preparing a business plan, poor at implementation.

Great opportunities of creating a program for the Maintenance Program
Site Installation Customer Service Center Manager (Former Employee) –  Springfield, VAMay 17, 2017
Stressful at times but very rewarding. Ability to create the Maintenance Program in this digital age was big learning curve. Created a Preventative Maintenance Plan for over 8,500 pieces of equipment and related materials.
Pros
Work on my own, create a Preventitive Maintenance Program.
Cons
Stressfull, little Management Oversight

Needs New Managers
Sr Billing Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCApril 30, 2017
Parsons is in need of new management in all areas. A decent company, but they loose focus on the employees. The company has too many layoffs, and over burden the remaining employees without providing appropriate compensation for the increased workload.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
no breaks, poor managers

SENIOR IT BUSINESS PROCESS RE-ENGINEERING (Current Employee) –  Richardson, TXApril 28, 2017
Mgmt lacks significantly...company slow to embrace new technology
Not a very inspiring place to work. Culture is old and staunchy. Hardest part of job is working for my manager who micro-manages.

Don't expect any training
Sr. administrative Aide (Former Employee) –  East Chicago, INApril 20, 2017
Project Manager for this job only cares about her budget. She will tell you to take the initiative to figure it out then criticize you for not doing it her way. She is onsite one day a week to kiss the clients butt but doesn't care about her employees. This was a job not a career. She has no professionalism. Would yell at employees. You knew who her favorites were.
Pros
Pay was good
Cons
Project Manager has no bed side manner

Typical Government Contractor
Manager (Former Employee) –  Northern VirginiaMarch 24, 2017
Typical Government Contractor
Lots of Organizational Changes
Lots of Bureaucracy

Unique and unsettled environment due to internal chaos created as a result of acquisition of smaller Government contractor companies and lack of understanding that they cannot be run like a construction company.

You work a lot of hours and dont spend much time with family. Work comes first on most projects. If you are not willing to relocate this is probably not the company for you.
