Company doesn't care about your well being only about getting the work done
Manager (Former Employee) –  Pasadena, CAApril 18, 2016
Company expects you to work ungodly hours to get the work done which is ok for projects but they expect it on a regular basis.

Company went through a restructure which resulted in layoffs and the employees that stayed have it worse than those still employed since all the work fell on those people.
Pros
Employeed owned company
Cons
worklife balance, pay

Accounting Manager (Former Employee) –  Pasadena, CAApril 14, 2016
pay good salary, good benefits, treat employees fairly. Co-workers are nice and easy to get along. The hardest part of the job is the company has changed computer system recently and we have to learn new system.

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXApril 6, 2016
Working at Parsons was extremely a wonderful experience for me. Very professional environment, wonderful people to work with and for. It was a temp assignment but they ended up calling me back a 2 time after my first assignment ended and I was going to be called back a 3rd time for and assignment with DISD but Parsons was not awarded the contract. If I could work with Parsons or DISD again I would jump on the opportunity in a heartbeat. Good jobs like that are very hard to come by but at least I can say I did it twice.

Disoriented Company with Constant Reorganization and Restructure
Finance Accountant (Former Employee) –  Pasadena, CAMarch 14, 2016
If you are a dedicated worker with great skills but too proud to brown nose, stay away from this company.

A Boss is different from a leader. I am sure that there are a few good managers within the company, but the ones that I had worked under over a period of ten years are unprofessional with huge egos. They are no role models and no leadership. Lot of favoritism given to those who plays the office politic games.

Make sure to buy your "Boss" and "Boss' boss" the big $ gift cards every Christmas. Pay for their drinks when they invite you to the happy hours. Buy lunch on the two boss' b-day. And always claps and agrees when your boss bad mouth their peers behind the closed doors. Having any integrity or slight conscious will bring you nothing but extreme unfair workload with impossible turn around time, insane conflicting priorities plus constant deadline changes. Your boss will go out of her/his way to make your life miserable. Worse, the credit and promotion are always given to the "players" instead of the one who actually worked.

At the end, your boss will lay you off under the excuses of lack of works or redundant position when it comes the opportunity of Company Restructure even though you have been forced to work Unpaid overtime every week. If you wonder who is going to do the work after the real workers are gone? No worry. The boss will justify to the CFO to hire outside consultant and spend more money that was cut from the laid-off employees!
Pros
Nice location with casual dress code.
Cons
Boss who can't lead. Poor work life balance under Unprofessional Management.

Good Employer
Principal Scientist (Current Employee) –  Denver, COFebruary 10, 2016
Parsons is a well-managed company with good mid-level managers. The management style is very-much hands off and laid-back. The pay is good, and the benefits are very good. The work schedules are flexible, and work/life balance is shifted much more towards the life side. However, there is little opportunity for advancement, you are just a number in a large bureaucracy, and most employees keep to themselves.
Pros
Flexible work schedules
Cons
Large bureaucracy

Associate Contract Administrator (Former Employee) –  San Antonio, TXJanuary 25, 2016
Loved my job at Parsons! Great place to work.

My job at Parsons was pretty extensive. I worked heavily with government contracts, subcontracts, and task order close outs. Microsoft Office was used on a daily basis as well as professional interpersonal correspondence with my superiors, DoD employees, and co-workers.
