A typical day at Pasta Mista would start with a manager and I opening the restaurant. This included writing the daily specials board, cleaning down all the tables and windows. I worked there for 5-6 years, I learned a lot. I acquired great communication skills, became more knowledgeable about Italian food and made a couple friends that I still keep in touch with.
My favorite part about working there would be the environment. This is a place that you see someone come in 4 or 5 days a week. I got to meet some friendly people that I could be excited about coming in while I was work. Another favorite, would be my manager. We worked great together, and he trusted me to be alone in the front of the restaurant when he had errands to do.
The hardest part of the job was having unreliable co-workers. Often times I was called in because no one would show up for their shift. It was unpredictable at times.
