About Pathology Laboratories
Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories (PAML) is a division of Bourget Health Services, Inc., part of Sacred Heart Medical Center located in Spokane, Washington. PAML operates a state-of-the-art, full-service reference laboratory and maintains other laboratory operations throughout the northwestern United States.
Since its founding in 1957, PAML's – more... capabilities and stature have grown significantly. It is now the largest independent laboratory in the northwestern United States. During the last several years, PAML has significantly increased market share, greatly expanded its in-house esoteric test menu, and has implemented a wide range of sophisticated information systems.
PAML has provided laboratory services of the highest quality for over 40 years. To maintain its level of excellence, PAML subscribes to strict quality assurance programs and is certified by the College of American Pathologists. PAML's board-certified pathologists, doctoral level scientists, certified medical technologists, and medical laboratory technicians all contribute to a proud tradition of medical excellence.
PAML currently provides a diverse range of testing services to over 100 hospitals throughout our core market – Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Alaska, and Wyoming. In addition, we have hospital clients throughout the Western United States.
PAML remains on the cutting edge of laboratory information technology, and it has taken a leadership role in implementing state-of-the-art LIS-to-LIS computer interfaces. Using the latest interface engine technology, PAML has completed numerous links to divergent LIS systems. PAML also provides a wide variety of other data solutions to its clients.
PAML is recognized as a national leader in the area of hospital partnering and laboratory joint ventures.
