A typical day of work is handling various correspondence and phone calls from patients and insurance companies regarding account dispute and payment transfer requests. I also handle insurance follow-up issues so I must contact insurance companies to resolve issues and also handle insurance billing. While working here I have learned the EPIC and SMS billing systems which is valuable to know in this field. I enjoy this type of work because it allows me to help patients by resolving their billing issues.
