This is a great company to work for as long as you are not part of the temp agency that does temp to hire for them.

the chief was awesome would volunteer again in a heart beat. hours were long but i enjoyed ever minute of it.

I worked for this company for 3 weeks as a Relief Route Salesperson.
The first week you ride with a Route Salesperson and do nothing but watch,
The other two weeks were somewhat a hands on experience. If the Route Salesperson that you were riding with allowed you to do anything.
After three weeks I was let go because in the Branch Managers view I was – more... not performing the job.
The Branch Manager would not let you know how were you are doing, I even went to the extreme as to try to talk to the branch Manager, the Branch Manager way of helping was that it was my responsibility to explain to the Route salesperson you were riding with in what you needed help with. – less

A typical day working at Patrick Cudahy was very exciting and interesting because of the various duties I had to perform. Sometimes, I had to go to another department to help out if they were behind. This was good because it provided additional valuable experience in other areas of production throughout the company.

I Iearned responsibilty,protocol, – more... the importance in efficiency of time management towards deadlines. Also to take pride in making the highest quality products that represents the company name. I also learned to to work as a team and do more than just my specific job if qualified, even if not asked to do so.

The management was very accessable, fair and considerate of an indivdual's circumstances. Most of them were always encouraging.

Most of my co-workers were assertive, dependable, and hard dedicated workers who were greatful to be able to support their families.

The hardest part of the job was when someone did not take their job seriously and intentionally slacked off of the team concept.

The most enjoyable part of the job was when at the end of the day, you have accomplished the goal set in front of you as a team and you realize that your contribrution was recognized and appreciated. – less

It it was very fun, we had to packed baccon into containers and that was very easy and fun to learn how to do.

I work here from a temp agency I like working there alot experience working from different parts of a production line.
