This position was honestly not a good fit for my development style. The company seems generally attentive and cares for its employees, but there was a disconnect between where the company sees itself and its methodology for getting there.
It is a very fast-paced environment, and its development team is best suited for analytical vs. artistic developers. It is a true 'heads-down' development center, which can be a problem as technical debt is considered par for the course, but neither cataloged nor addressed for the sake of progress.
For better or worse, this is the working model that serves Payliance well for their stated goals. They operate with a 'start-up' mentality, which doesn't fare well for big picture qualitative development mentality.
