The best part of working for the PJCC is the staff. In my time there I always felt part of a family who genuinely liked, respected and supported each other.
It's a soft place to land for those who are tired of the corporate 'rat race' and a pretty good place to gain work experience if you're just starting your career. But because senior management and the board are a little behind the times on embracing up-to-date strategies and technology, and they don't really support staff learning or growth, it's like being 'stuck' in an endless loop, doing the same work the same way with little challenge.
Now that the PJCC is looking for a new executive director, there is the opportunity for the board to choose someone who is not 'technology challenged' and will embrace change and support staff growth and learning, which can only help the business.
