Be more personable, they need to care more about people and take in consideration that people have lives that do not only revolve around PHEAA. They should treat people with respect and not like everyone is replaceable. They should also recognize when they have great employees without nitpicking every little thing. When employees express they are having an issue they should recognize that and not undermined what they say.

It is face pace if you take calls, If you process it is a very enjoyable job because you are able to be in your own zone and complete your work. If you take calls it is very stressful because the requirements are very high. You dont even have tine to take a drink in between calls or they will hound you, You are expected to be a robot.

You build vaction time and sick time rapidly after working 720 hours, if you are in the call center it is easy to obtain 720 hours if you are in the call center because of the mandatory overtime, the amount of time you obtain with each pay period depends on how many hours you worked. Getting to use the time is hard to do because they do not approve you time. If they do you will only get some of your days approved if any which defeat the purpose of requesting the time off.

It does not take long. When I applied it took a few days before I heard back and was asked for an interview and than after my interview it was about a week before they called and stated that I was hired. It's 6 weeks of call center training for in bound calls.

Re evaluate your policies specifically when it comes to training. New hires should have fair warning about the possibility of not making it out of training due to failing test. The loan counselors should be treated like human beings and not like robots. We understand that servicing the borrowers in a quick and friendly manner is the company's top priority however, we are human and should be treated as such. Trips to the bathroom should not be deducted out of your break time people may have medical conditions that requires them to make several trips to the bathroom throughout the day this is unfair treatment to human beings.
