Community Pediatrics Social Worker, Bangor, ME - May 12, 2017
There is a lack of consistency between supervisors, for example, our supervisor would tell one worker how to something one way and tell another worker to do it another way. There was very little guidance when I initially started and had I not done a similar job in the past, I would have struggled more than I did. At times, my group of co-workers could have fun but at other times, things were very stressful and you could feel the tension. There is definitely favoritism shown to some which can cause tension. I most enjoy being out in the field working with the families and usually work longer than my required 8 hour day to meet the needs of the families. I am able to schedule my own clients so that gives me the flexibility to meet the families' needs.
