Pros: paid every week
Cons: lack of training
Decent place to work. Not enough opportunities for minorities to advance. Tough work specifically with conditions being challenging outside. Sometimes boss can be lazy and you have to do their work while they "shop" for themselves and leave you hanging.

At Penske, you are offered a fast paced work environment with long hours which is great for hourly employees. In some cases, care for employees comes into question. Excellent training for a young professional
A very productive and educating job at Penske Logistics.
Clerk (abundance of duties) (Former Employee), Spring Hill, TN – May 11, 2012
Pros: opportunity, education, the desire to work in logistics as a career, good insurance
Cons: short lunches or no lunches, dealing with difficult associates, the constant lay offs
A typical day for me at work was usually a very busy one but I absolutely loved it there. It was the most educating job I have ever had. The people were always nice and willing to help get things done in a timely fashion. I had no problem with the management. They allowed me to be able to learn and understand all I could about Logistics. The hardest – more... part of the job was being able to accomplish some of the tasks at a last minutes notice in a timely fashion. My complete experience with Penske Logistics was great. I met and dealt with a lot of important people with GM, Shneider Logistics, and Premier on a daily basis. I guest the most enjoyable part of the job was the fact that the management team always gave me the opportunity to be able to do an abundance of different jobs so I gained a lot of insight on how to different jobs in different areas of the business. It is because of the opportunities I was given with Penske that I am so interested in pursuing a career in Logistics. – less

Pros: great first job for graduates, always busy, days fly by, great customer service experience.
Cons: have to move to advance.
The management trainee job really is a great opportunity especially for those looking for a fast pace environment. Days fly by you are always doing something. Great experience with a lot of job satisfaction. If you dont want to move though dont take the job, the program will have you ready for promotion within the first year but you will have to move – more... to accept it. If it werent for that I would still be with Penske today. – less
CDL A Hiker (Former Employee), Bensalem, PA – April 22, 2012
I was a hiker for 2 years. In the time I was there, I watched management use and abuse so many CDL drivers that I couldn't keep count. They sent them out with illegal trucks and tricked them into doing unsafe things they didn't want to do, all in the name of profit. I would think twice before taking this position.
The company had a great product line. Just seem to change monthly.
Forklift Driver (Former Employee), St. Louis, MO – April 17, 2012
Pros: the company was expanding.
Cons: a few safety issues .
The day where filled with learning about a variety of forklifts. I am a better driver because of my training. The company keep pushing the amount of product to be moved. This make it more of a challenge, a lot of worker became fearful about safety. The accidents of products bring dropped, and dented was escalating. The company did have a family feel – more... value type of atmosphere. They did put forth a great effort to make you feel like family. – less
