Working with a collaborative President and a highly visible board, you will develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan (short, medium and long term goals/priorities) for all resource generation efforts, including the exploration of new strategies, approaches, processes and donor targets. This effort will allow the organization to achieve its vision and ensure its international programs continue as a global model of excellence.
As the Chief Development Officer you will keep abreast of global fundraising trends pertinent to the work of the organization, gather intelligence about fundraising prospects, develop creative partnerships to raise resources and act as lead writer of concept papers and proposals (both unsolicited and competitive) to secure support from a variety of donors (i.e. bilateral and multi-lateral donors, civil society and non-governmental organizations, private sector partners, international as well as domestic government entities and foundations).
If your success lies in strategically integrating development and communications activities with programs (working with staff across functions) to engage a wide range of stakeholders in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, our client is seeking your expertise.
The position requires a strategic development professional with a Bachelor’s degree (advance degree preferred), 10+ years experience and a track record of success creating and managing comprehensive and diverse fundraising programs. The ideal candidate will have experience mobilizing resources from bilateral and multilateral aid agencies, foundations, corporations, and individuals as well as experience writing/managing all aspects of proposal development preferably in an internationally-focused and/or global health environment. Ability to create/manage systems and foster collaborative management that is based on open, transparent, continual communication, information sharing, and inclusive decision-making coupled are required.
