Reporting to the CFO, this position is responsible for directing the human resource function including safety, performance management, employee relations, benefits, worker’s compensation, labor relations, compensation, staffing, and training/development. Acts as the senior representative to the executive management team on key human resource initiatives and programs. Achieve corporate objectives through strategic and operational HR initiatives.
Provides recommendations and at times decisions in matters regarding compensation, promotions and disciplinary action, ensuring equitable treatment of employees and implementing actions designed to assist management in the success of their departments.
Directs workers compensation and disability processes including effective tracking and follow-up mechanisms. Develop proactive worker’s compensation reporting and safety programs.
Leads the implementation of company safety and health programs. Develops safety programs, administers programs, leads communication of safety efforts, partners with brokers to reduce workplace injuries, and mitigates safety issues.
BA/BS in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience normally associated with a four year degree program. Additionally, advanced studies, certificates or current training programs are desirable.
8-10 years of broad Human Resources experience, with five at a management level with budget and staff responsibilities. Preferred additional experience in business with a position not in human resources.
