Great People, Great Students, Great Benefits, Beautiful Campus
DIRECTOR - INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS (Current Employee), Malibu, CAJuly 18, 2014
Pros: the students, intelligent open dialogue, great colleagues, dynamic programs, beautiful environment, new technology, wonderful benefits
Cons: low pay, under-qualified human resources department
Pepperdine is a place where you can thrive intellectually and try new and innovative ideas in a welcoming environment. It is a place where you can live out your personal faith alongside your career, and where you will interact with many kind and gracious individuals. The campus is gorgeous, and many people take advantage of the weather by exercising at lunch or before/after work (I personally used the Olympic-sized pool every day!).

Very light working atmosphere. Co workers are easy to get along with. Management is fair. Hardest part of the job though is the commute.

Great group of workers
Locksmith (Current Employee), Malibu, CAJanuary 23, 2014
Pros: off during the holidays
Cons: the newly added, having to work weekends
Enjoy what I do daily... the busier I am, the more accomplished I feel.
It's always a learning experience, especially when a different trade, worker needs assistance.
The hardest part of my job was having to work weekends (which was just added this year), it took me away from my family functions.
Working for a University, you come in contact with anyone and everyone at anytime of the day. It's like a huge family.

Communications Specialist (Former Employee), Malibu, CANovember 22, 2013
Pros: extended holiday vacation, discounted tuition incentives
Cons: poor management, terrible pay, few advancement opportunities, low morale
Few advancement opportunities as upper management positions are almost always outside hires.

Sloppy management. High workhorse turnover. Low morale.

Archaic corporate politics. Ultra conservative.
