Dispatcher/Customer Service, Buda, TX - November 24, 2013
A typical day at work would include a ton of laughs, gaining great friendships, and many stressful periods throughout my shift. The office management and coworkers are wonderful to work with, however many of the technicians I dispatched for were very unprofessional, unorganized, and did not do their jobs in a timely manner. There were a select few techs that were a joy to work with, would get their work done quickly and were happy to pick up more work to help other techs move through their route. The hardest part of the job was to try and basically do everything at once; Close out jobs, keep track of all techs to make sure they are doing their job, update the board, fix issues, attend to Time Warner representatives in a timely manner, and clear up phone lines, all in order to get off work at a decent hour. Most nights I would clock out after 9PM up to the rare 11:30PM. however, before I left to a new job, the time was slowly decreasing and I would leave by 7:30PM. The most enjoyable part of this job was definitely the atmosphere with fellow dispatchers, managers, and company owner. The owner is the most kind and understanding company owner I have ever worked with, and the management follows closely behind. It is a very tight-knit group of friends and family that will quickly make you feel at home.
