Main Purpose:
To support and improve the manufacturing process of fiberglass & composite parts. To ensure quality & efficiency requirements are met throughout the production processes. To support production with employee training, facility/ equipment maintenance and mold & fixture repair. To ensure employee safety.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:
1.Continuously evaluate, revise, and audit the manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, reduce lead-time, and eliminate waste. Implement the improvements and measure results.
2.Establish & maintain systems and processes to ensure all products meet the customer’s requirements.
3.Support ISO, LEAN, Safety, Regulatory Compliance, etc.
4.Develop and maintain tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
5.Manage the facility & maintenance department to support production.
6.Work with the area employees in support of the various ISO processes, including Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions, and Continual Improvements.
7.Develop, issue, and maintain work instructions and travelers for all production released parts.
8.Perform audits of work instructions and travelers to ensure they reflect actual methods being used. Revise as necessary.
9.Help coordinate the transition of new projects into production.
10.Develop & maintain production par values (time standards) (E2)
11.Develop & maintain production bills of material (E2)
12.Support quotation & job costing
13.Communicate with customers as needed to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and assist in any way possible.
14.Assist in the training of employees to improve their technical and/or process skills.

Experience, Educations and Training
1.3+ years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar capacity
2.Fiberglass and composites manufacturing knowledge & experience is a big plus
3.Background and experience in a LEAN Manufacturing environment
4.Experience working within ISO9001 or AS9100 guidelines
5.Can understand blueprints, geometric dimension and tolerance, and technical specifications
6.Knowledge of college level math and manufacturing engineering
7.Knowledge of quality and inspection functions, including use of metrology instruments.
8.Able to use computer programs such as Word, Excel, project management and CAD
9.Ability to lead and train in a classroom type environment
10.Experience with job costing and quotation
11.Ability to communicate in Spanish is a big plus

Compensation/ Benefits

  • Salary $55,000 to $65,000 per year (depending on job skills and experience)
  • Profit sharing bonus 2%
