Worst job ever!!!
Driver (Former Employee) –  Springfield, MANovember 16, 2016
The work Associates are great but the management team is the worst thing that I've ever have to deal with in my life. the work itself is very hard but the management team makes it even worst. They will give helpers to their friends and someone that their close with but not to the new employees. Then will have you drive over your time and not care. It's not until recently when a driver killed someone in ny that they up their game about violations. All they care about is getting the work done...
My advice is to get the experience and run!! I did 4 months and went to jb hunt...

Not a place to work
Truck Driver (Former Employee) –  Henderson, COOctober 14, 2016
The management doesn't care for the employees well being they only look out for themselves. They will throw you under the bus any time they can. If you get hurt they don't care about your injury they just shove you out the door and replace you. the loads are usually late so you are always behind. trucks loaded improper. you can't find product half the time. routes routed all messed up and have you running back and forth all over town most of the time. Ron shouldn't be in management he mad a poor decision when he was a driver on the road with a owner of a business he delivered to and the company made him a manager or the drivers after making a immoral decision on the road and now he make decisions for drivers.
Pros
Busy company
Cons
bad service and bad employee care

Tractor Trailer Operator (Former Employee) –  Elkton, MDOctober 13, 2016
At Performance Food Group you can expect to never be home when they say you are going to be home. Prepare yourself to violate DOT regulations for the betterment of their company. Except 20+ hour work days and to not see your family on the days you have work. I would not suggest this job to anyone who is family oriented or enjoys sleeping during normal hours.

Costing Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Richmond, VASeptember 20, 2016
Great Leadership, effective training, and a positive environment.
Absolutely loved my experience working for PFG and the team environment that was provided, PFG provided the opportunity to be an independent while also having the ability to lean on others for coaching and training if needed. The management staff were supportive and effectively communicated successes and also areas of improvement with its employees.

Thought I found a dream job.
This is a Bachelor's Job. If you have no kids and or significant other then this is for you.
This company as a whole is Horrid. Read the other reviews as you can see this company is trash state to state.
You WILL drive a tractor trailer to places you wouldn't imagine they can go.
Every truck has CEL.
If you don't get hurt you may be related to Christ himself.
Prepare to be spoken down upon.
Chances are you'll quit in your first month. Trust me.
Pros
Experience driving to all sorts of sxxt stops.
Cons
Getting shafted, with no lube. Daily.

Class A Delivery Driver (Former Employee) –  Richmond, VAJuly 11, 2016
Promised things that wont happen
New people are slaves to management
Router always screws you
Days are 14-16 hours (if new)
Never know where your going
The freedom is the best part
trucks and trailers are old , you never know when your trailer will fail you for a DOT inspection. Although they have gotten new trailers and trucks. Those go to senior drivers and new people tend to get trucks with no ac amd engine lights
Pros
Money

Cairo is really a joke!!!
Route Truck Driver (Former Employee) –  Cairo, GAJune 28, 2016
Trucks are not assigned and you have no idea what you will drive when you come in. Most of the trucks are old and are not serviced. Management does not care and there is no leadership. Warehouse is complete circus with lots of clowns that have no idea what they are doing. Will make your life completely miserable on route when most everything is loaded wrong and falling everywhere in trailer. Routes are too much for one person and you work long hours. So stay away if you want your sanity.
Pros
Pay and benefits is decent.
Cons
Long hours, terrible warehouse crew, management issues, old trucks

Worst place ever. No room for growth. Waste of time, skills and knowledge. DON'T DO IT. There are better jobs out there. Upper Management do not promote based on qualifications or experience, but who they groom or who they see as a fit for their malicious acts.
