Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist, Rhode Island - August 7, 2017
Typical day at work would consist of high call volume, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and obtaining authorization. I learned a lot by working closing with my team lead and not the actual person who trained me. The management team is the issue here ( the turnover rate is pretty high). Expectations are not met from the upper team and expect they expect people to be happy with poor outcomes. The hardest part of the job is trying to make everyone happy while multitasking when the environment is busy. The addition of new offices will hopefully bring new positions for people to advance in their career paths and not the opposite and making people feel that they are disposable. The most enjoyable part of the job is when you make friends with some of the greatest people while working hard.
