A great Family Enviorment
Server (Former Employee), Memphis, TN – May 6, 2013
Pros: discount on menu items.
Cons: short breaks when the resturant was slow.
perkins was my first serving position and it help me to obtain great customer service skills. I would greet customers, present menus, answer questions about menu items, take down orders and provide food in a timely fashion. I 've learned that if you provide good customer service you will see your tips increase. I had an excellent Manager who made sure – more... my time there was productive. He was also there for all my questions and concernes. My co-workers was also great they help me In my training and was good team players. The hardest thing on the job was keeping up In a fast pace enviorment and the most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with customers and seeing my tips increase. My overall experience at perkins was good. – less

Very busy location. overnights were a bit hectic but were totally manageable. management was not too reliable and dependable.. most things needed to be figured out on my own. overall pay was competitive but worth the effort and motivation

Hostess/Waitress (Former Employee), elk river, mn – March 15, 2013
Busy busy busy. Prepped salad bar, made coffee, seated customers, took orders, took care of dishes. Management was always around helping, giving tips, and had all the patient in the world till I made it look perfect! I loved my team, they were always so helpful. I overall loved working here. Although, it is not a place to get to comfortable for me because – more... I have bigger and better goals and need to reach my potential! – less

Pros: great people and customers to work with
Cons: not many full time employees
• Served customer meals while maintaining the restaurant's high customer service standards.
• Resolved customer complaints by listening to their concerns and doing everything in my ability to rectify the situation.
• Built quality relationships with regular customers by learning and remembering their preferences
• Operated as a cashier for departing – more... customers.
• Sharpened communication skills by resolving customer complaints and creating win-win solutions to their problems.

Fun and productive work enviroment
Line Cook (Former Employee), Jamestown, ND – February 1, 2013
Pros: free pancakes, great managment
Graveyard shift was rather quiet, a typical nite would be to start breakdown of the majority of the kitchen while maintaining both cooking and cleaning responsibilities. Here Id say the most valuble thing I learned was learning to hon my cooking skill set to better my chances at improving myself in the kitchen. Hardest part of the job was the bar rush. – more... Most enjoyable part was I worked in a small town an knew everyone who worked there. – less
