Great work environment; never a dull moment
Brand Management Consultant Rum & Liquors (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMay 19, 2016
Pernod has a great working culture, warm people and fantastic talent. The only draw back is their lack of entry level/lower level staff. They believe in internal hiring which is great to boost moral of the employees, but hard for an outsider.

Great company.
Processing Operator (Former Employee) –  Fort Smith, ARNovember 24, 2014
This was the best company I've worked for. The benefits were great, staff was excellent and incentives were unmatched. They offer plenty of room for advancement in the company. Cost of living raise and bonus with pay being based on job skill/experience and performance review. Being a bottling facility they always offered free giveaways as well as fun activities with great interaction and care for employees and great company functions. Employees and staff are offered to volunteer during company shut downs by either deciding to work or volunteering with volunteer organizations. They take great care of there employees and co-workers were always friendly. The only downside was the high emphasis placed on product quality that was almost unrealistic though with high expectations and the great care and pride they take in there products and employees it makes it an achievable standard.
Pros
benefits, employee care, opportunity for advancement

Market Manager (Former Employee) –  St. Louis, MOAugust 4, 2015
I would not recommend this place to anyone whom already doesn't work in the Spirits business. Long hours and little reward working here plus the wholesaler works against you!

Dynamic and Really Nice People
Brand Marketer (Former Employee) –  Purchase, NYJune 11, 2013
Folks here are very congenial! The NYC office is very bare bones and everyone from VP and below are in cubes. It feels very NYC stylish, though. The portfolio of products are fantastic and the benefits got better over time. The hardest part of the job is that there are fewer lower level position and most folks are working double the amount of time than at a Diageo because of the headcount constraints. However, it is a place where it is easy to make an impact and make a difference in the business.
Pros
happy hours, friendly people

ACCOUNT MANAGER (Current Employee) –  New YorkJanuary 27, 2014
Pernod has an ever changing culture and work environment. As the companies top management changes every 2-3 years, the focus of the group also changes. The organization has grown very quickly in the last few years due to acquisitions.

Machine operator (Current Employee) –  Fort Smith, AROctober 21, 2013
A typical day at work is checking lots of glass bottles and the hardest part of the job is when you have problems with the machine.
Management is very helpful when problems arise and coworkers are very helpful when you run into problems. I have learned a lot about glass inspection and protocol on labels. The most enjoyable part of the job is having a very laid back break room with lots of extra activities to help relax.
Pros
fun work enviroment
Cons
low pay

Productive, positive with a thirst to win
Lifestyle Manager (Current Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 20, 2014
*A typical day at work consists of fostering relationships with Key Accounts, the distributor and High Net Worth Individuals while growing brand volume and value within these three demographics. As a supplier I specifically targeted financial and real estate tribes, A-List bars, restaurants and nightclubs. I grew the business by hosting exclusive cocktail parties and dinners in key accounts among the target demographic. I lead staff trainings, tastings, gained menu features, placements, back bar placements, shelf facings and in store displays.

*I learned about B2B sales, how to lead and manage a wholesaler, selecting the right key accounts, budget management, financial acumen, build relationships internally and externally, grow volume and distribution with a positive ROI.

*Management. I indirectly managed the wholesaler to grow my business in NY. I indirectly lead the on and off premise wholesaler to gain a disproportionate share of mind while competing with other suppliers to grow my business.

*Co-Workers. Incredible morale, team work, self motivated, strong support system, brand knowledge and passion for brand health and growth. We all live the values.

*The hardest part of the job. Giving a mature brand a higher perception of value and worth than what it was originally. Turning around a declining brand to grow among a small consumer.

*The most enjoyable part of the job is working on the mature brands to turn it around and grow it among a new target demographic. Evolving the brand. The challenge of turning around a declining brand while working on new sales and marketing
more... strategies. Team camaraderie, team conviviality, company morale, team work, ideas and brainstorming sessions.  less
