Maintenance Mechanic - Electrical
Well known company in Lakeville seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician.
Starting pay is $16-$18 per hour
3rd shift Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am
Primary Responsibility I Accountabilities:
Installs, repairs and maintains, in accordance with blueprints, diagrams, schematic drawings, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, production machines, hydraulic systems, drive mechanisms, material handling systems, and conveyor systems, using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes and precision-measuring and testing instruments:
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment, observes mechanical devices in operation, listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors, operators and other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, changes in dimensional requirements, misalignment, or other problems using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Dismantles devices to gain access to problem area and removes and replaces worn or defective parts, following specifications and blueprints and using precision instruments, hoists, cranes, hand-tools, and power tools. Realigns and adjusts components, such as spindles and clutches. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems (locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machines, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe) and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand-tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand-tools. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery. Repairs broken parts, using brazing, soldering, and welding equipment. Starts machines and equipment to test their performance/operation following repair.
Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, milling machine and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May work as a part of a team including electrical/electronic specialists, boiler operators, etc. Initiates purchase requisition order for parts and machines.
Education and/or Experience Preferred:
- Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman's Certificate
- Previous Maintenance/Machine Mechanic Experience
- Class "B" Boilers License
- Industrial Truck Operator Certificate
