PetSmart is seeking a Store Manager for our Austin, TX store. This store will provide quality Customer Service, oversees merchandising standards, front-end operations, store inventory process and is responsible for the entire store operation in the absence of the Store Manager.
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assists Pet Parents and helps achieve PetSmart’s strategy for sucess “Delighting our Customers,” “Operating Excellence” and “Growing Services”.
Completes Quarterly Reviews
Works with the Operations Manager to meet and exceed the financial plan for the store to ensure sales, controllable expenses, and controllable contribution plans are achieved.
Develops managers and associates to meet full potential and makes recommendations for advancement and promotions.
Drives sales within the store, including the Salon, Pet Training departments and PetsHotel where applicable.
Ensures the safety/security of company assets, customers, pets, and associates through regular store walks, monthly Shrink and Safety Awareness meetings and training of store standards/compliance with company and government safety standards.
Ensures store is in compliance with all inventory management tools (WISE and Merchandise Movement) to guarantee appropriate levels of in-stock are available to all customers.
Audits and analyzes weekly payroll reports.
Ensures advertising and marketing plans are executed including signage, merchandising, product fulfillment, and store conditions.
Ensures associates are in compliance with training requirements.
Works with to ensure store is adequately staffed and associates are scheduled within the payroll plan and model to satisfy our Pet Parents.
Assists and works in other departments as required. Other duties may be assigned.
Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.
Typically supervises five managers and oversees 25-50 non-supervisory associates within the store. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations’ policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and coaching associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SUCCESS FACTORS
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training.
