A fast paced work enviroment but with knowledgable developers.
Developer (Current Employee), Alexandria, VAMarch 2, 2014
Pros: free water and snacks.
Cons: unrealistic deadlines, long sprints and easy environment to get burned out quickly.
An Agile environment with intense deadlines.
Your week-ends are filled with working on defects, scrum meetings, filling out status requirements in Rally. You will have frequent skype or Join me meetings as well so get use to being Interrupted periodically throughout your workdays while coding.
You have to be an independent programmer you can't rely – more... on your team members to help you out very often, because they are committed to loads of deadlines. It's a PC environment, even though some developers have MACs it took them two weeks or so just to get connected to the clients server. Good Luck! – less

Better places to work!
Manager (Former Employee), Alexandria, VANovember 1, 2013
Pros: location...lunch along the river is very relaxing.
Cons: arrogant leadership team, lack of leadership, micro management. etc.
I was only at Phase One for a few months...and it only took that long to realize my mistake. According to their own HR department...personnel retention is in the mid to high 30 percentile. That should tell you enough. On the good side....there are some very talented worker bees there who are a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately....they usually don't – more... last long. But there are some who do because they are on client sites and removed from the corporate environment. As far as the leadership...and I use the term "leadership" loosely...they may know more than anyone about the technology they sell...but because there are so many of them...they are disjointed and not a cohesive team. They lack the basic common business practices and processes as every successful company utilizes. Along with this...there's a certain level of arrogance among the leadership which is totally unappealing. They often refer to the size of their company and how successful they are. But anyone who's been in Federal contracting knows...it's not that hard for a small business to grow while taking advantage of set asides. I think their growth has peaked and they're going to go the way of most businesses who move out of the set aside category...stagnation...or death. – less

Think twice and dig deeper
Analyst (Former Employee), Alexandria, VAMay 8, 2013
Pros: kegerator and nice view
Cons: good way to donate your ambition to vending machine that never returns what it says you are buying
I should have trusted by gut that something about this place was "off." The longer I stayed the more I learned about senior leadership infighting, ruthless bench policies, exhausted managers and directors looking for the closest exit, and an overall cloak of good salaries, benefits, and amenities that cover up a non-existent culture and a place you – more... can never really grow at without sacrificing your morals and all your free time - just keep in mind the Partners explicitly say it's not what you did for them yesterday, it's today that counts - in other words, loyalty is not a value. – less

Busy office
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR (Current Employee), Alexandria, VASeptember 4, 2012
Pros: break room/ good benefits
Cons: no sick/vacation time, no room for advancement, long work hours
This company is fast paced and steadily growing. My works day is very full of various projects from setting up meetings to business development tasks. Everyday is a learning experience. The best part of the day is a lunch break, we sit right on the Potomac River and a good relaxing walk is always needed.
