A normal day was very fast paced yet very organized. We as customer service reps were very educated on the products within the company in which we would help customers with in our daily calls. I learned alot about the medical field and the tools used within the different aspects of the field. Management worked closely with us, monitoring our calls, – more...  giving plenty of insight on areas in which we needed improvement, rewarding us for jobs well done, informing us of new product and/ or procedures within the company and making sure they were there to help us in our time of need. I cant say an part of the job was hard but the most enjoyable part was speaking with the different people and being able to assist them and make their jobs alot easier. – less

You are always learning something new at the company. There is good management, always people to go to when there are different problems that need to be ciorrected.

I read legal contracts (leases) and process them into the system. I analyze leasehold CAM and Tax to prepare schedules, reconcile and process all invoices for payment.

Philips Lifeline is a fast pace call cener, lots of constant incoming calls. It can be a high stress job, dealing with the death of people daily.

PHILIPS has been a great place to work in. The staff are all very nice, friendly and helpful - it is like a family. It is a very relaxing environment but the company still stands firm on working hard.

Learned so much working for this Company. Advanced career opportunities were offer, travelling and the work atmosphere was a very educational one. Friendly company and great benefits.

Product Compliance Consultant (Contract) for UC/Canada lighting product approval

My days were typically spent working with customers and potential customers presenting and supporting the sale of MRI systems, products, and Service. Working with Account Managers to develop and work sales strategies in the region and at specific accounts. And working internal to Philips with a team of Sales Managers, Account Managers, Financial Specialists, – more...  Service Managers, Executives, and many others to sell and manage MRI systems, products, and services.

I learned so much about strategy building. Because I was involved in all MRI dealings in the region, I got greater exposure to customers, executives, and to the needs of each customer that drove the strategies we built to win opportunities.

I liked the management at Philips. In fact I followed many of them to USIS for a unique Managerial opportunity.

My co-workers were trained professionals, and most had a great deal of Imaging systems experience working for other Imaging Systems Companies. On average, my co-works were above average in ability.

The hardest part of the job was when product difficulties, at specific points in time, made selling their superior MRI products difficult.

The most enjoyable part of this position was developing unique and winning strategies to win MRI business, and then over-achieving in MRI system sales. – less

One of the best companies to work for and they take care of their employees

PHILIPS Medical produces poor quality/reliable but innovative devices. It's totally focused on cost (penny wise/pound foolish). It doesn't care about its customers and cares even less about its employees. It's a highly stressful/demanding work environment but pays only average salaries. There's a glass ceiling for 99% of its employees. You'll have to – more...  perform at 110% just to keep your job, 150% to get a COLA raise, and walk on water to get a promotion. There is no "work life balance". But if you're willing to "drink the coolaid" and hang your brain and common-sense at the door when you come in to work, then PHILIPS is the place for you. I'd advise anyone considering employment with PHILIPS to RUN not walk to the nearest EXIT sign! – less

Everyone that I work with is quite smart and talented, and you really feel the management group is on the right track with the business. The work/ life balance can be a bit challenging at times, but the product is an environment where employees really care about their job and are willing to work hard to do something the right way. One of the best aspects is that regardless of function, each team strives to really deliver value to their customers, whether they are internal or external. This understanding allows teams to focus on what is relevant and tailor their approach to be most effective.

I find Philips to be very innovative, extending beyond the products they create. Despite the company's size, entrepreneurship is encouraged as teams are constantly seeking methods to improve the business.

worked for this company many years, sadly my job was outsource to China.
My duties there were:
• Experience with various electrical components, PCB boards and soldering, assembled pilots and test products for the Development Department.
• Technical Administrator, Secretarial Support for the Development Department.
• Provided daily reports and information – more...  to various departments such as: Development, Commercial and local factory.
• Instructor and assistant support for Philips Lighting Development Department Technical database employees and International users such as: The Netherlands, U.S.A., China, Mexico and Poland.
• Organized and coordinated International workshops for customers and factory assembly workers throughout power point presentations.
• Maintained Development Department database system and information, providing technical support to this department also International and local system users. – less

I love working for Philips and couldn't see mself anywhere else. I love the atmosphere and people I work with.
