Phillips & Company Advisors is seeking a mission oriented professional whose values align with our strong client centric culture. We are looking for a Senior Investment Analyst to join our firm providing high-level analytical and client support.

Essential duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:


  • Conduct asset allocation modeling and research using forward-looking capital market expectations, historic returns, and mean reversion data Serve as the liaison between the investment committee and operations in ensuring accurate and timely trading; communicate portfolio changes to advisors Market commentary and client education
  • Write/ghost-write weekly e-mail newsletter and blog with CEO
  • Research and produce a quarterly “Look Ahead” market commentary
  • Produce client education presentations on various financial literacy topics
  • Research and generate new investment ideas and opportunities, both on a manager level (i.e.: ETF, mutual fund, hedge fund) and individual security level
  • Research and compile incoming ideas from other investment managers (private and public); conduct manager screening and due diligence interviews
  • Build and develop narratives and rationale to support new investment ideas


  • Produce business development materials, including proposals and RFP responses
  • Monitoring client portfolios and performance; conducting trading and rebalancing as needed
  • Provide research and recommendations for high value and F&E clients
  • Investment management as well as individual security due diligence and research
  • Asset allocation and security selection for discretionary managed portfolios
  • Oversight of performance reporting cycle for HNW and F&E clients
  • Financial planning tasks as needed (assistance with retirement calculator modeling, etc.)


  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in business, economics, or related field; coursework in accounting and statistics is a must
  • 2-5 years of experience in the financial industry, with a demonstrated desire to work in private wealth management
  • Demonstrated interest in the CFA Program; Level II Candidate or further progression strongly preferred
  • Series 65 registered with at least 5 years’ experience in a financial services industry Relationship-oriented, values-focused and results-driven
  • Proficient with MS Office suite, with expertise in Excel
  • Performance reporting experience including understanding of portfolio statistics and concepts such as alpha, beta, standard deviation, Sharpe ratio, correlation, time-weighted return and benchmarking
  • Excellent quantitative skills; attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Strong communication skills; ability to present complex financial concepts to clients is a must in this position
  • Experience with Bloomberg and/or Morningstar Direct preferred
  • Working knowledge on Pershing platforms and Redtail CRM, is a plus.
