The most enjoyable part of being a caregiver is the smile on your patients face when they know there is someone there they can depend on. And the faith the family has in you know their parent or parents are being taken care of.
A typical day sometimes turns into a night, depending on what kind of sickness your patient has. This type of job includes everything the patient needs twenty-four seven, seven days on and seven days off. Including lifting the patient for bed, a chair ,a toilet seat or a bath. Making sure the patient gets their medicine on time, along with food and drink no matter what time of day or night. Cooking, cleaning, taking patient on outings and to medical visits. Sometimes you are called upon to stay in the hospital with patient. Make sure if patient has any wounds that they are properly taken care of. If patient is in diapers, make sure patient stays dry and clean. Talking and being a constant companion, running errands, helping patient eat, and celebrating holidays
