Busy clinic
Patient Care Coordinator (Former Employee), Rockford, ILJune 5, 2014
It is a very busy clinic, not much time to rest or relax. I learned a lot about hippa laws, and about the medical field. There is a lack of quality management. The hardest part of the job was how busy and stressful it can be when you never get a chance to even take your required breaks.

Busy, but a joy to work with. (PT dept)
Physical Therapist Assistant (Former Employee), Rockford, ILFebruary 7, 2014
Pros: great facilities, atmosphere, patients, and co-workers
Cons: lot's and lot's of commuting.
My colleagues were honestly some of the best you could hope for, great people, every single one. Truly talented individuals who made coming to work something you could really look forward to.

The only difficulty was the sprawl of the company across multiple facilities over hundreds of miles. Commuting distances was a core part of being an employee, – more... as you would often have to cover facilities in a variety of areas, at times multiple facilities in the same day.

The work week was 4 days, 10 hour shifts. Having three day's off a week was definitely something I enjoyed over a standard Mon-Fri block scheduling. However, with drive times, a day was often 12 hours long. Hope you're a coffee drinker! – less

Pros: set schedule, worked around my school schedule
Cons: management, drama, the drama that was caused by management
Physicians Immediate Care was an urgent care facility. Most days were very fast paced and you never have similar cases. Most cases are so different so you have to be ready for everything that comes through those doors. I worked at the front desk so I was the first person patients saw when they walked in. You have to be compassionate and empathetic to – more... patients and not sympathetic. They want to feel better and I had to help make them feel better. – less

HARD WORKING AND FAST PACED
Certified Medical Assistant / Clinic Coordinator (Former Employee), Joliet, ILMay 29, 2013
Pros: alot of overtime
Cons: never being home with your family
DOING MULTIPLE JOBS WITH OUT ENOUGH STAFF.I HAVE LEARNED ALOT THERE AND WORKED WITH GREAT DOCTORS AND PA's. But the company itself has gone down hill since the owner sold the company to a big wig that knows nothing of the medical field. I loved the excitement of a different case everyday. my talents and teachings were used. I did everything i learned – more... in school. I love the staff I worked with and that I led. With little staff and terrible upper management everything fell apart. Trying to juggle the drugscreens and walk in patients with only 2 staff members and 99 patients is ridiculous. – less
