Pros – Transformational and disruptive technology changing the way research scientists and gas utility companies are making measurements of green house gases, stable isotopes and natural gas pipeline fugitive emissions. Smart, innovative and dedicated employees. Lots of camaraderie among the hard working employees.
Cons – Executive team is weak, has a severe lack of focus and act as cheer leaders for the CEO. They live in an ivory tower while the employees slave away to ship quality products out the door that pay the bills. CEO fails to set an achievable sales target that the company keeps missing and has temper and rage issues bordering abuse with no consideration to work-life balance or employees family commitments. Basically, all what matters is the bottom line to impress the board of directors. The work environment has lots of undue tension in the air, usually dictated by the CEO moodiness. Besides, none of the execs has a genuine commitment to advance the career development path of the hardworking employees. Stock option value is so diluted with no annual bonus payment for 2 yrs straight.and no salary increase or even inflation adjustments.
Advice to Senior Management – The hardworking employees in the huddle are the real achievers and the main asset for Picarro . You should show appreciation for the smart team of engineers, scientists and technicians who are devoted to make Picarro successful and excel in building a shiny image of the company. Create an enjoyable work environment instead of the current tense and intimidating one.
