Pros: meeting people, working and mentoring employees
Cons: long hours and the fact some times i don't get it right.
I walked into this company 10 years ago with some skills.
I was always being challeged to take that next step and not to settle for any thing less than the best.
A typical work day for me was as follows.
My punch time varied 8am -1pm.
My early start would consist of a wall through the department to see were we were and were we needed to be,a talk with – more... the staff to see what the mind set was and get the ball rolling.
I would than check with the manger on duty to let him or her know i was here and had a plan for the day.
I would check stock levels and check emails.
Now it is the time of the day that I must roll up my sheeves and get the ball rolling.
I beleave that one must lead by example, and if every one is on the same plan the job can get done.
Every one is a signed a task with the expectations of getting it done.
Give great custmer service and making sure orders are to the expectction.
I ave learned to work within a budget, write a schdule, place orders, work with others, understand that our custmers come first and any and all jobs have a place.
I have learned to read plan-o-grams and merchandising the department.
I worked with outside vendors about my needs for the department. – less
