Pure Incompetence
THANK GOD IM NOT THERE ANYMORE (Former Employee), MT. POCONOOctober 28, 2014
Pros: am hours
Cons: everything
This is the most unethical, unempathetic place i have ever worked for. They are money hungry that is all they care about. The only thing that i enjoyed was the hours and my co-workers. There is very poor management and no guidance for staff. I was sadened to leave my patients as the have to continue to attend clinic.

Just.... Wow.
Residential aide (Former Employee), Elizabethtown, KySeptember 5, 2014
Pros: sometimes you receive free lunch on tuesdays.
Cons: everything else.
They do not care about their employees. The higher ranking, like the directors above the Kentucky recovery works, are consistent and good. They never visit the building, except maybe the business director, to see how the place is running. They hire people who are still currently using drugs and convince clients to do things for them. I have never experienced – more... something like this before. It's truly sad, mostly for the clients. They do not care about the clients, if they get sober or if they die - as long as they got their money from the desperate families everything is okay. Just be cautious about working here, hopefully it will change. – less

Terrible place to work
Former employee (Former Employee), Georgetown, KyAugust 7, 2014
Cons: poor management, poor pay, no ethics
This is a terrible place to work! No ethics, management cannot be trusted! They do not care about anything but money. NOTHING about getting or keeping people sober.. The patients run the place! They let people with no managerial experience in management positions and they have no idea what they are doing.. All employees are overworked and under paid. – more... Be aware before you apply. It's not what they say it is.. – less

Horrible place to work, chaotic, no one cares, hires people with no experience
Former employee (Former Employee), Georgetown kyJuly 17, 2014
Pros: good food
Cons: everything
Couldn't figure out how to give it zero stars so one will have to do. This is the worst place to work. They promote people who do not deserve it because someone in the system likes them and they are a suck up. All they do is lie to you and about you. Managers are only looking out for themselves. The whole place is shady, no structure and all they care – more... about is getting people in the door. They don't care if they get better or they help them, they just want their money. They employee counselors that have less then a year of sobriety themselves and have apparently never heard of hippa. Then they overwork said counselors to where the patients can't even get good care no matter how good the counselor. This place is just a joke and a mess. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to be employed there because it is so incredibly awful. The patient just run free and do what they want. They watch movies for group such as the hangover that have nothing to do with recovery and promotes drug use and drinking. There is not near enough space or staff for the patients and they have free reign and the ones who would actually want to get better don't have the opportunity because of the pure chaos. It's absolutely a joke so be very careful before you decide to work for this facility. It looks like glitter and rainbows to start, but don't be fooled. – less

Interesting field in Addiction Medicine/poor management
Clinical Staff (Former Employee), KyFebruary 8, 2014
Cons: no breaks, no structure, poor pay, high turnover
Chaos! Extremely high turnover rate for employees due to poor structure and extremely high patient/nurse ratio. Disheartening to watch clients fall through the system without adequate rehabilitation because the company is money focused vs. patient outcome focused. Employees have zero support from management to implement structure and it is dysfunctional – more... to say the least. Society has been wronged by the high cost if inpatient chemical dependency rehabilitation when patients leave in worse condition than they were in when they arrived. Pay is unfair considering the work environment. It's much like a detention center with zero security. It is understaffed and under facilitated when it comes to supplies and work materials. They lie...promising promotions, etc., but never carry through. If you enjoy unstructured, chaotic, exhausting work environments, this may be for you. If you are looking for an environment where opportunity for growth and learning are optimum and emphasis are put on improving care instead of making profit, look elsewhere. – less

Horrible management
Counselor (Former Employee), PittsburghMarch 12, 2013
Pros: early hours, free parking
Cons: management
The south hills location of Pinnacle is being run by incompetant management. They are constantly committing insurance fraud & expect the counselors to commit fraud, as well. Management also plays favorites with regards to the treatment of the clients it is supposed to be serving.
