Responsible for daily Operations Management of a high-end and well-known floral and events company firmly positioned in the luxury sector and positioned to expand in 2013.

OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONS:
Develops a process to establish company and store operations goals
Hires, manages and terminates all store staff
Develops and establishes strong lines of daily communication with all employees
Maintains direct oversight capacity for each store operation with relevant knowledge of perishables industry and/or retail industry
Executes floral purchasing and establishes strong relationships with vendors
Demonstrates excellent negotiation skills and drives profitability margins in COG’s
Develops and manages all job positions and KPI’s for productivity optimization
Manages employee Payroll and benefits
Participates in personnel discipline with GM
Ability to plan and develop a Multi-store growth strategy

FINANCIAL FUNCTIONS:
Partner to GM in all company financial objectives, planning and execution by department
Manages accounting systems and daily work flow
Directs and manages office administrative assistant
Establishes a system of budgeting
Provides accurate financial reporting to GM and CPA for monthly P&L process; tracks and collects information with productivity data by department
Oversees tax processes
Conducts, and maintains a banking relationship; Conducts daily banking needs.
Tracks cash flow and balance sheet
Executes and oversees Accounts Payable and Receivables with Admin support
Purchases, directs upkeep and/or replacement of all computer software and hardware
Meets all profitability goals and standards
Requirements

Candidates MUST have minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional floral, produce or relevant retail or hospitality industry: 1) managing operations, multiple departments, and crews 2) managing a store location or office, 3) prior oversight and accountability for P&L, 4) oversight and execution in accounting and purchasing areas

Strong technical knowledge of Quick Books, Excel, MS Office and P&L documents, balance sheets and basic financial tools

Seasoned track record of hiring, scheduling, training, motivating staff; hands on skills managing daily operations and KPI goals by department

Provides excellent customer service and highly skilled at customer issue resolution in a high-end retail environment and industry

Uses POS systems and oversees retail website operation with proficiency

Ideal candidate has a blend of small business savvy/ work experience with entrepreneurial mindset, and solid corporate management experience with fundamental operational skills and abilities to structure and execute results in a fast-growing company

General Requirements: College degree or high level of education preferred
5-7 years floral/produce/retail management experience
3-5 years accounting experience mandatory

Excellent planning and communication skills
Ability to work minimum 40+ hours per week to include day and weekend shifts, and overtime during peak seasons and holidays
