Work Study Office Assistant (Former Employee) – Greenville, NC – May 22, 2017
This job was fun and professional. As well as competitive to get. This job requires transportation to and from work. It also requires you to look professional and help co-workers and students as needed.
Outstanding place to work and grow, unless you are part-time (which I have been for 9 years). I have learned in 9 years the daily operations of a community college and all that goes into making things run smoothly in effect to help our students accomplish their goals in education. I have worked under several managers/supervisors and have found them each to be leaders and supporters of our goals. We are one big family in my division. I love my job and find great satisfaction in being a part of such a wonderful team.
Team work, learning new guidelines and regulations in education, satisfaction that I help others
no insurance coverage, limited hours of work for part time employees
I enjoyed working at PCC; however, upper administration seemed to not understand what lower level jobs entailed. A typical day included purchase requisitions, purchase card balancing, time sheets, general clerical work, assisting students and public, assisting Dept Chair and instructors, as well as other TA's. I loved my department and miss working there, but at times the job was slow and the public could be challenging to work with.
This job was in the library of the college. I worked on computers and handled student accounts for library resources. I also assisted teachers and students with multipurpose room set ups and equipment use.
A typical day at work for Pitt was easy going. My manager is easy going and a person to get along with, I learned that in order to take effective notes that you must be attentive, My workplace culture is diverse, the hardest part of my job is trying to catch every little detail the teacher gives out. The most enjoyable part of my job is being freed, reliable, and trusted.

Office Clerk/Work Study Student (Former Employee) – Winterville, NC – June 30, 2016
Working as a student intern for the Information System's department at a junior college while obtaining an Associate's degree.
Working at Pitt Community College student work study program is an excellent way to pay for school while earning work related experiences.
The staff is trained to allow you to learn while you earn through this program with great patience for the lack of knowledge an entry level student may have.
Learned how to multitask, become organized and help people to troubleshoot their particular IT needs. Whether it is for Faculty, Staff or Students, this position afforded a leadership role that allow a self-starter to shine.
Ability to work in an environment that allows you to work at your own pace, with minimum or no supervision.
You will have many hours toogling through systems alone, as this particular team is mobile.
Work Study- Office Assistant (Current Employee) – Winterville, NC – May 11, 2016
As a current college student, I tackle many stresses and obstacles on a daily basis. With classes, bills, personal health, and a social life, it can become difficult to include work into the mix. But, I have enjoyed and still enjoy the job I have at the moment. The environment isn't pressing, the job is simple, and even though I would love better pay, the pay is great for the few responsibilities I have.
Great Company and Family Oriented. I enjoy the aspect of being able to teach a young person and mold their future. There is longevity here but sometimes you can get stuck in a position with no room for advancement.
Coordinator (Current Employee) – Greenville, NC – January 18, 2016
At typical day at work is very fun. The environment is very flexible and stress-free. I have learned how to be a better tutor and management is great. The hardest part of the job is working at night; however, I thoroughly enjoy the co-workers and the flexibility.
Worked with an excellent team within my department
