Pivotal 5 is currently seeking a Brand Manager for one of the company's owned brands, KettleWorx. This position calls for an individual who is action oriented with an ability to think strategically while also maintaining a passion for tactical detail level execution. The Brand Manager will be responsible for generating brand awareness and revenue by penetrating specific markets and accounts including gyms and studios managing the franchising and educational programs. This role provides integrated programming solutions via the marketing mix including, but not limited to, events management, educational programming, social media, online media, consumer promotions, and group fitness instruction. It will be critical to possess a combination of sales skills, marketing knowledge, and training and analytical ability. The individual will be a team player and work well with both the marketing team and cross-functional members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a marketing plan that incorporates KettleWorx’s positioning to both customers and trainers that increases brand awareness and leads to incremental revenue growth
  • Manage and conduct education and events nationwide including, but not limited to, group fitness training, tradeshows, conferences, and grand openings
  • Deliver content and voice across all internal and external communications for the brand
  • Build and manage relationships across multiple functions (i.e. brand marketing, field sales, consumer promotion) and at all levels of the organization
  • Analyze data to design efficient and effective program solutions
  • Manage budgets and assist with forecasting based on marketing programming, including running P&L

Job Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of marketing and sales with particular emphasis on the fitness certification and/or group fitness instruction based program environment or consumer packaged good experience
  • Superb social media knowledge and execution is critical
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface and sell at all levels of management and consumers
  • Proven track record of developing relationships with trainers, gym owners, co-workers, vendors, and business partners
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Budget management and financial projection skills
  • Ability to work independent of supervision and make decisions of wide variety and complexity
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and proficiency with other basic software programs (i.e. Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)


  • College graduate; MBA not require, but a plus
  • 6-10 years experience; minimum of 5 years experience with CPG preferred
  • Knowledge of group fitness instruction and programming key

Position Requirements

  • This position requires some travel including weekends
  • Position based in Chicago; must work out of Chicago office
