Good but could be better
Executive Assistant (Current Employee) –  Palo Alto, CAJuly 27, 2017
The work life balance of Pivotal is exceptional. They offer breakfast every morning and free lunch on Tuesdays. In the Palo Alto office, you're allowed to bring your dog which is a nice perk. I would like it better if the culture was more involved with employee incentives and perks.
Pros
Work life balance, discounts, free meals
Cons
Punished if worked overtime, no room for growth, management could be better, no annual reviews, sticklers on budget so no active company culture.

I loaded and unloaded trucks. I used to make boxes to put workout equipment in. The co-workers were friendly. I got to learn how to drive a forklift.

Front Desk/Concierge (Former Employee) –  Palo Alto, CANovember 3, 2014
It was a joy to work at this location. It was very professional with so many genuinely nice employees. They took great care of you as an employee there and always brought a smile to your face. It was fast paced most of the time, leaving you to have to think on your feet a lot. There was a lot of answering emails, phone calls, employees at the front desk, and helping out with events.
Pros
Free snacks, free drinks, happy environment, and sweet people.
Cons
Sitting all day long.
