Great manager. Fun coworkers. Working with customers was a daily highlight. There was always plenty to do.
A typical day included preparing sauce, preparing dough, running a daily deposit, preparing pasta, cleaning up outside, training other drivers, and bringing hot meals and cold drinks to customers as promptly and cheerfully as possible. The most enjoyable part of the job was my manager, my coworkers, and the customers. The hardest part of the job was training the occasional individual who had no interest in learning. The main thing I learned there was how enjoyable and personally rewarding "menial" labor can actually be, and how people who cheerfully work hard in such an environment deserve a generous tip to help make up for low pay and for other customers who leave nothing at all.
