High Stress, Low Satisfaction
Admissions Representative (Current Employee), CaliforniaMarch 24, 2014
Pros: very few weekends to work, good starting salary
Cons: high stress, the product you are selling is not a good product.
Managers will push you for more "numbers", people are viewed as simply numbers and not people. The quality of the education is sub-standard. I only took the job because they were offering me a decent starting salary. The school is dirty and unkept. Managers are constantly breathing down your throat for more, more and more. No training for employees. – more... No opportunities for advancement. – less

Great learning experience for employees and students.
Coordinator/Instructor of the MOAS Program (Former Employee), Oklahoma City, OKMarch 18, 2014
Pros: learning experience was wonderful.
Cons: having to leave since my program was cancelled.
Coordinator/Instructor of the MOAS program. I learned so much about the medical front office; office management; day to day activities with referrals; patient care; medical terminology.

I enjoyed teaching my students and providing them with the skills they would need to work in a medical clinic. I have extensive knowledge in medical billing so I was – more... able to share this with them for the time they were in my program. While teaching my program for the first time, I completed the daily work to better understand what my students were to learn. It was a great learning experience for me.

My program ended due to low applicants. – less

Educational experience as an educator
Practical Nursing Instructor (Former Employee), Tulsa, OKDecember 12, 2013
Pros: hours, minimal travel
Cons: pay
Working as a clinical instructor, I worked 3 days a week in various hospital/healthcare settings in the Tulsa area. It was challenging at times helping students get the most out of their educational experience. The best part of the job was having a student experince something that changed their life and the glow of excitement on their faces when that – more... moment happened and was shared again. The group of instructors was a wonderful, supportive group. – less

Pros: great teachers and great fun!
Cons: graphic design projects including drawing, digital design and printing
I learned a lot in my first year in Platt College. My field ; Applied Science in Graphic Design. This was a great choice I made and a huge step in my carreer as a graphic designer, still in process. I did not complete my AA degree but never the less learned a great deal with the hands on experiences with the projects and programs there. Looking foreword – more... to continuing my classes in the near future. – less

Nice school
Admissions Representative (Former Employee), Ontario, CADecember 14, 2012
Pros: helping people, great co workers
Cons: parents don't help or support the student
The school is very nice and staff supports the students but what made it hard is parents don't support the child and that make it hard for FA. Nice co-workers. I enjoyed seeing the students graduate and the smiles they have when they get that paper.

Medical Assistant Instructor (Former Employee), Oklahoma City, OKAugust 16, 2012
Pros: this was a company that i could believe in
Cons: located in oklahoma city ok.
This was my first opportunity to instruct 25 students in this wonderful field of medical assisting, It was here that learned that I could make a difference in someone's life doing what I love to do which is helping people. I learned a lot about myself working at Platt college, To never give up, to keep pressing forward no matter what, and to help someone – more... along the way, and that a smile and a kind word can take you very far. – less

Pros: great people. casual but professional environment.
Cons: nothing!
I am a graduate of Platt College (1986) and was subsequently hired part-time as an instructor in the Production Art (Graphic Arts) Department. I worked my way to Student Services, ultimately working at the corporate level in Administrative Support. Great people!

Ehhhh
Administrative (Former Employee), Aurora, COFebruary 29, 2012
Everything revolved around the owner making money- not education. It was about the numbers and admissions representatives were unethical at times. There are/were some great, knowledgeable professors who are/were a ray of light in a shady, grumpy business.
