A place in a state of flux with stagnant career growth prospects
Editorial Quality Assurance Manager - Americas (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXNovember 30, 2015
Management has very little regard for career growth of their subordinates. High turn-over rates were not addressed and overlooked.

Managed workers, act as senior person when manager was not there. Processed and handled the more difficult customer service requests.

Lengthy tenure at company doesn't guarantee job security
Editor (Former Employee) –  Washington, DCFebruary 5, 2014
The company is going through some changes because of new management from Bentek and there has been a history of layoffs of talented editors who have given years to Platts. The company is heavy with middle managers who have created a barrier between the rank-and-file and upper management, and will preserve their own jobs at all costs, including sacking lower-level longtime employees. The trend now is to hire lower-paid data-churners based in Asia offices.

The pay and benefits have been competitive for US editors, but that is likely changing.
