Server (Former Employee) – Jackson, OH – October 21, 2016
We worked in sections that we kept clean through out our shift, kept drinks filled and plates removed and took them to the kitchen as the customers were finished. I loved my customers. Managers was pretty understanding and co-works was great and willing to jump in and help where ever it was needed. The worst part of the job was packing ice. and the most enjoyable was flexible hours.
Dish Washer (Former Employee) – West Mifflin, PA – October 18, 2016
Responsibilities include cooking orders, cleaning fryers and vents, dish washing, saute, prep work and filling in wherever else is needed at any given time. Maintain a clean work station, and safe operation in the kitchen area. Work as a team player with co-workers in order to get all orders out in a timely fashion.
My typical day was coming into work and preparing for the big day of tasty meats and buffet. I learned the proper way to cook meats. The management was very good and top notch. The team of workers were golden. The hardest part was getting meats cooked to the right rareness. The most enjoyable part of the job was cooking for all the customers.
I loved my job at Pondarosa. The only negative things were most of the waitresses didn't do there job correctly and the management just didn't seem to care. If you can get past that and the wired schedule then its great.
free lunch, half price meals
finish co-workers jobs, come in early, stay late, come in on days off
Server/trainer/hot Bar attendant (Former Employee) – Mount Pleasant, MI – June 29, 2016
I received great hours at Ponderosa, However Some parts of management could use some adjustments. Team work was often spoken of, but when it came right down to it, certain managers lacked ambition to be team players, and team leaders.
Janitor and dish washer (Former Employee) – East Liverpool, OH – June 25, 2016
Typical work day as a janitor was to clean the restaurant before it was time to open. Typical day as dish washer was run dirty dishes through machine and take out the trash at night. Probably the best management I've worked for. Always on top of things and keep things running smoothly. Co workers were friendly even with having to deal with the public. Hardest part of the job was making the customers happy with their meals. Most enjoyable thing was being able to eat when we weren't busy.
Server/Cashier (Former Employee) – Bath, NY – June 3, 2016
Typical work day consisted of taking orders from guests and delivering meals. The management and co-workers were amazing, consistent throughout my 3 three years of employment. Nothing about the job was hard it was very enjoyable.
This Was my home away from home for a very long time!
Manager (Former Employee) – Collinsville, IL – May 16, 2016
Great managers good product and friendly environment. Too bad they shut down for good, this restaurant was a good place for a family to enjoy each other without the worry of preparing dinner or cleaning up after!
Server (Former Employee) – Benton, KY – May 11, 2016
The staff, management, and customers were all loving and welcoming. I worked there in high school, starting as a Server's Assistant, working my way around the restaurant to becoming a server/floor manager. I loved this job.
Excellent environment, terrific management, great benefits/compensation
Cook/Dishwasher (Former Employee) – Wheelersburg, OH – May 4, 2016
I did like this job mostly because of the employees that I worked with. They knew how to have fun, and get their jobs done efficiently. The general manager was amazing and the manager i worked more frequently with was as well. The hours were decent and the work environment fast paced, but the managers were always helpful as well as the other employees. I learned how to cook quite well while there doing it for almost a year, and also how to maintain my area that i worked in as well. The most enjoyable part of the job for me was the people I worked with. They made work seem not so much like work and made the day a little lighter.
Enjoyable workspace, good hours, helpful management.
The only con really was the pay, and only because it was minimum wage.
While working at this company I started as a grill cook, and cashier. Within a year I was promoted to waiter and then eventually to an assistant manager. I worked on payroll, scheduling and leadership in my many years at this company. I enjoyed most the ever changing environment.
Dishwasher (Former Employee) – Bay City, MI – April 20, 2016
A typical day at work would begin with maintenance duties for the restrooms and parking lots. Followed by many dishes, stocking activities, food preparation, etc. The management was very understanding and friendly.
