Door-to-Door Soliciting
marketing (Former Employee), Atlanta,GA – May 10, 2013
Pros: they have a great product
Cons: door-to-door soliciting, horrible work-life balance, getting yelled at everyday by home owners
If you have a college degree do not work here, this job is door-to-door soliciting. they pack 6 guys up in vans and drive out to various neighborhoods, let everyone out in the neighborhood and you go door-to-door bothering people at their homes and give them a ridiculous sales pitch, which the sales pitch is actually a lie. They call it marketing but – more... I call it bothering people when they don't want to be bothered!! Do not be fooled by the hope of advancement, there aren't that many positions available and they market their career opportunities to young guy who don't have a college degree that are willing to eat their pride and walk door-to-door getting yelled at by home owners to get off their property and leave them alone. – less

Great place to work
Sales Representative (Former Employee), Atlanta, GA – April 4, 2013
Pros: great compensation/management/culture
Cons: 80 hr workweek
Working for Power was a great experience, there was a fantastic culture and a great commission structure. I learned a lot about exterior remodeling sales. Management was always available for questions and the training program was exceptional. My co-workers were always positive and everyone was open to new ideas and ways to increase our sales. The office – more... was very collaborative in that way. The hardest part of the job was working 12+ hours a day six days a week. The most enjoyable part of the job was selling high quality exterior home remodeling products and being involved in the excellent culture that the company promotes. – less

Outbound Marketing Manager (Former Employee), Marlborough, MA – March 14, 2013
Pros: training, team atmosphere
Cons: no upward mobility, hours, compensation if average
Its door to door marketing/ In BJ locations signing people up for estimates

Sales is one call closing going inside peoples houses and selling roof, windows, and siding

management is young and easily approachable

Little to no room for advancement out of marketing and sales

co-workers are awesome all 20-25 year old guys

Productive fun working enviroment
Regional Retail Marketing Manager (Current Employee), Stratford, CT – February 25, 2013
Pros: a challange daily
Cons: the only upward mobility was to go into a sales position.
A typical day would include running on going training from 9-10am,
marketing meeting 10am-11am Staffing our 13 Retail locations and managing 13 people including 3 managers. Pitching futrue customers on various home remodeling product in a retail eviroment. My co-workers are self motivated, hard working individuals who all worked on a performance based – more... position. The hardest part of the job was mantaining my own performance and also constantly motivating my staff which i did very well. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to talk to people on a face to face basis daily and always challenging myself. Also being able to help my staff grow and become successful. – less

Great group of co-workers
Business Development Representative (Current Employee), Rosemont, IL – January 29, 2013
Pros: good group of guys
Cons: long hours, low pay, terrible work conditions (winter).
co-workers were a great group of guys. Gained some valuable social experience working with homeowners and educating them on the companies background as well as our products and services. We worked from 9 in the morning till 8 at night. Hardest part about the job was the overly long work hours and weather conditions. the most enjoyable part of working – more... at Power was if it was nice outside, you got to enjoy the weather. – less

Work from home with scheduled appointments from management.
Outside Sales Rep (Former Employee), Philadelphia, PA – January 13, 2013
Pros: work from home, lots of free time
Cons: not much lead time on given appointments
I would receive text message and emails regarding an appointment in a given day. Could spend up to 4 hours in a potential customers home trying to 1st call close them on siding, roofs, windows, and doors.

Great company, long hours and awkward at times.
Outside Marketing Representative (Former Employee), Chester, PA – January 11, 2013
Pros: great company, free company trips, working outside
Cons: long day, working outside- hot or cold, working at night
The typical work day is spent in a van being driven to different areas. Going door to door is cool when its daylight. I found it to be awkward to do it at night. Sometimes the van managers stay out extra late to get more leads which leads to in fighting.

Excellent place to work, ongoing training, great culture.
Account Executive / Remodeling Consultant (Former Employee), Cranford, NJ – December 12, 2012
This was a "one-call close" sales position where we were assigned 2-3 leads per day. Training was top notch and ongoing and taught the sales methodology. Management was supportive and office was a family type atmosphere with co-workers. Hardest part of the job is the schedule as you are "on call" from 9am until 8pm and later appointments can go past – more... midnight.
Most enjoyable part of job was uncapped earnings, company paid vacations, top notch training. – less

"LAST RESUME"
Senior Marketing Manager (Current Employee), Greenbelt, Maryland – December 2, 2012
Although I have only worked for Power Home Remodeling Group for a little more than a year, I truly believe that I have "written my last résumé." As a 26 year old with several jobs since college, I wasn't sure if I would ever find a place where I honestly enjoyed working....until I began working at PowerHRG. The culture is awesome, and the opportunity – more... is real. I work a ton of hours, but your paycheck softens the blow of a 50 hr. week. – less

A job, not a career. For those who want hardcore sales.
Marketer (Former Employee), Stratford, CT – December 2, 2012
Pros: sales techniques and skills, young company, end of year trip (2012 riviera maya), fun co-workers
Cons: long hours, double talk from management, unpromising growth
This is a sales job with little marketing actually involved. Their sales training is second to none and you will learn how to effectively sell anything to anyone. They promote based on production and whether upper management likes you.

Job becomes very repetitive and they want you to work all day and on weekends. You agree in the contract that you – more... will work every other Saturday but they do not tell you that you are not compensated for it in your base salary. It is only beneficial if you are close to a bonus.
Typical Day: 1. Go in for meetings/training 2. Review the previous week, day, quarter... 3. Set daily goals 4. Get dropped off in a territory where you will canvas; go door-to-door to set up free estimates for windows, siding and roofing 5. Get picked up for lunch (depending on when the manager feels like it) 6. Go back out until 8pm when you will be picked up and brought back to the office (end of day)

Rotating door when it comes to employees. Most people only last a few weeks to a few months before moving on which can be detrimental to the overall moral of the office and workers.

Overall it is a good starting place to learn some great sales techniques and decent money but best to move on after learning all you need to. – less

Job not a career
Marketing Manager & Sales (Former Employee), chester , pa – October 9, 2012
The company offered a great culture with fun people to work with, but I was not challenged and the work became extremely repetitive as I felt no growth was in sight. I was not being challenged and saw no real potential future growth with the company.

Incredible Place to Work!
Marketing Manager (Current Employee), Chester, PA – September 24, 2012
Pros: trips, cash incentives, health benefits, salary, opportunity
I have never experienced a place like this. They truly care about me, my family, my career and my advancement. The job is hard and the hours are long at times but what job isn't hard if you work hard at it.

They are even taking the entire company and spouses on a trip to Mexico at the end of the year to say "thank you". If that alone doesn't give you – more... a glimpse into who senior management is and how they care about their people, not sure what will. – less

Fun job, hour suck
Outbound Marketer (Current Employee), NY – August 7, 2012
I love the culture and the training. The job itself is very good. It is run very well. The hours suck and you have no life outside of work . You work over 50 hours a week from basically in the office at 10am and you cant leave your location until 8pm and depending on where you are you might not get home until 9:30

Efficient and positive workplace
Photographer, Customer Advocate (Current Employee), Chester, PA – August 6, 2012
Pros: example: free lunches, etc.
Cons: example: short breaks, healthcare, etc.
My job is dynamic and constantly changing. I feel comfortable addressing concerns and interacting with management due to an open work environment that fosters communication. The individuals I work with in my department could not be more competent and capable at their jobs as well as playful and laid back. I love my department and am incredibly proud – more... of the work that we have produced thus far. The most enjoyable aspect of my job is the diversity of tasks that I am faced with each week and the freedom to address those tasks creatively. – less

The average need not apply...
Entry Level Sales (Current Employee), Atlanta, GA – August 3, 2012
Pros: real growth, great money, on going training, your ideas will be heard and can be implemented
Cons: you are dealing with home owners you will face rejection (as with all sales positions)
Fast growing company with many ways to advance. If you put in the work you will reap the rewards. I've worked hard and have shown that I can take on more responsibility. Yes, there are certain aspects to every job that people don't like to do. If you are lazy, want to be spoon fed a check and are afraid of rejection do not apply. If you want to earn – more... what you are worth, be a part of team you can have fun with and be mentored to step into a management role then you should apply! The management is understanding and fair. I needed time off for personal reasons. They understood and I was able to take the time that I needed and come back. Yes, I get frustrated at times but I also enjoy going into work knowing that I am building on a career. I'm looking forward to the trip to Mexico! – less

Working at Power
Outside Sales (Current Employee), Greenbelt, MD – August 3, 2012
Pros: culture and training
Cons: have to put in long hours sometimes
Best culture you can have...the company gives you the opportunity to meet your financial goals while getting recognized by your body of work which allows you to be promoted. The training is 1st class and management doesn't breath down your neck.

Control your financial destiny and have fun while you're at it
Sales Executive (Current Employee), Chester, PA – August 3, 2012
Pros: in addition to a meritocratic promotional system, you get to work closely with mid-level, regional vp and at times c-level management.
Cons: you definitely have to be someone that can handle rejection. after all, if you can't handle rejection you shouldn't be in sales.
Making a lot of money is only part of being happy. When you have unlimited income potential, coupled with loving who you work with and work for...it's what I look to define as "work place utopia."
