Phlebotomist (Former Employee) – Pratt, KS – September 29, 2015
The management in this establishment were always so nice and would always take the time to explain something or answer any questions I might have had. My coworkers weren't always the nicest but we still managed to get our work done in a timely fashion. The hardest part of this job was watching young children walk away from my department with tears streaming down their faces. My most enjoyable was knowing that most of the time I could turn their frowns into smiles with just a silly face or a small piece of candy. Those children made me a better person and a better parent to my own kids.
Great work environment, excellent supervisory staff, great benefits, opportunity to meet everyone in the workplace
Typical Day included staffing according to work load which may require sending staff home early, reviewing test results, setting up test for reference lab interface, checking employee time and attendance, monitor staff at outreach clinics and work productivity, prepare reports as required (QA, monthly productivity, QC etc) attend meetings as assigned by the VP of ancillary testing. Coordinate the laboratory new building project, and attend projection meetings. Interact with patients, nurses, clients, family members, hospital staff, as required to resolve issues. All of the co-workers were a pleasure to work with. Job was most enjoyable because of the ethnicity there.
