A typical day would be order entry, scheduling shipments, scheduling the coating line, respond to customer questions/issues, ensure order delivery, handle any price discrepancies.
The hardest part of the job would be when material wouldn't arrive from the steel mills on time to make the schedule and then having to try to get the order back in the line when it would arrive without pushing out other customers.
The enjoyable part of the job was the perks of sport games and early release before a holiday with pay, and great bonuses.
The system was very user friendly which made work much easier.
My manager taught me how to really be a customer service orientated person, how to build a rapport with customers.
