Working at Preferred was an ok job but not an Ideal job for me. Starting times varied every morning and you did not know when you were getting off until they messaged you to go back to the shop. Also you could not plan anything on Saturdays because there was always a possibility of having to work. Would be notified to work on Saturday typically on Friday just before quitting time in the late afternoon.
The hourly pay was not to bad since other concrete companies pay per load.
Management had a semi high turn around rate or being moved from one location to another frequently.
Hardest part of the job is keeping the truck clean and keeping up with the VERY sporadic work schedule. You could not have much of a social life at all with this job even planning small things on weekends are very challenging.
Overall if you need a paycheck its not that bad of a place to work if you can get past of the things I have mentioned.
