The environment itself was tranquil.i learned how to work with different cultures. My managers and co-workers were fun and loving. The hardest part of my job was adjusting my sleep schedule. The most enjoyable part of this job was getting a job well done for completing the daily task.
Collections Representative (Current Employee) – Sioux Falls, SD – August 14, 2016
Great company to work for that gives you the opportunity to learn and grow with good pay. The company does a lot for the community of Sioux Falls and the state of South Dakota, always promoting growth.
Collections Agent (Former Employee) – Sioux Falls, SD – March 21, 2016
I enjoyed my time with my co-workers and management team. I always had opportunities to move up and learn more about the company and different departments. The hardest part of the job was having very limited physical work. The most enjoyed aspect of the job was the close and open minded team.
Very good company, Great CEO who truly cares about his employees and knows who they are.
Collections Department Manager (Former Employee) – Dakota Dunes, SD – February 29, 2016
* Worked nights for 15 years * Department Manager * Perfect Attendance * 400 hours of community involvement per year * Balancing work / personal goals was difficult * seeing staff develop into management and leaders
Software Developer (Former Employee) – Sioux Falls, SD – October 9, 2015
Being here I have learned where to work, and where not to work.
Unfortunately I didn't realize this company did this until roughly a year into my job. They claim that they are helping people with bad credit get back on their feet, but it seem that they prey on the weak (those trying to rebuild their credit) and the credit cards they offer have tons of fees, super high interest rates, and low credit limits.
The work atmosphere was rather dull and lifeless. Unless you had a true, strong passion for the type of work you were doing this place would suck the life out of you.
Hires students fresh out of college, lunch room and cafe on site, flexible schedule for the department I worked in
Deceptive business practices, strict dress code, dull work environment, being on call, micromanagement, picky project managers, some departments have no formal training
Collections (Former Employee) – Huron SD – September 28, 2015
The company doesn't really care for its customers and it is very money motivated. If you just want a job and don't care if it's not ethically sound then go for it, but if you don't want to work for a company that only cares about the dollars they earn then don't.
Get to talk with new people everyday, amazing co-workers and management
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) – Sioux Falls, SD – September 10, 2015
I haven't worked at premier bankcard long and it's sad to leave (due to move to Iowa), but from my time there already I've already got to speak with so many amazing people from customers to coworkers and even to the presidents of the company. Premier bankcard has been named one of the top 50 banks to work for in the country and I couldn't agree more!
fun, safe environment, own desk space, cafeteria, employee credit cards
This was a very positive company to work for. Management really made everyone feel valued. Was difficult to handle customers verbal harassment at times but everyone should be aware of that before starting a position like this.
Sales Retention Rep (Current Employee) – Sioux Falls, SD – May 28, 2015
Main focus is on helping employee succeed in current position. The hardest part of the job is dealing with the most difficult personalities. The best part of the job is the satisfaction you get when you succeed in making that difficult customer happy.
It is a decent paying job for anyone if you do not mind getting yelled at by disgruntled customers everyday. You call customers who are late on their credit cards and ask them to pay the entire balance of the card. If you do not mind doing this repeatedly everyday then this is the job for you.
Bonuses, Christmas gifts, Health Benefits
Getting yelled at everyday, Sitting for hours on end, stuck in a cubicle
COLLECTION REP I (Former Employee) – Dakota Dunes, SD – November 5, 2014
Collections Rep you are required to bring $3,000/day in revenue in for the bank just starting out, the co-workers are pretty great but morale is down because there as so many unhappy people there, low chance for advancement, verbal abuse from cardholders 8 hours a day, make sure you have a thick skin because you will be verbally abused and sexually harassed over the phone constantly and there are so few opportunities to become manager but the people they do promote should probably be working at a fast food joint. They have ZERO management skills!
Nice Co-workers, Contests, Promotions, competitive pay if you work nights
Short breaks, Office politics, No chance for growth, overpriced health insurance premiums, Verbal Abuse
Great people to work with and overall happy customers
Customer Service Rep-I (Former Employee) – Sioux Falls, SD – April 9, 2014
Management is great and there is plenty of room for advancement Learn about various regulations and laws regarding credit Always room to advance from representative 1-3 and even management positions in other departments Most enjoyable aspect is helping a customer in need Great benefits with dental, health, paid time off (vacation and holidays) 15 minute break every four hours Flexible schedules
Loved working there but no chance for advancement great co-workers best part of the job was the people i worked with, Best thing about the job was solving any issues that people had paying their bill by finding alternatives to make things easier.
chance for incentive
Bill collecting is stressful incentives when i started were great but declined
