PriceSmart, Inc. (PriceSmart) is engaged in international membership shopping warehouse clubs. The warehouse clubs sell basic consumer goods to individuals and businesses. PriceSmart has two types of members: Business and Diamond (individual). The Company operates in three geographical segments: United States, Central America and the Caribbean. Its subsidiaries include PriceSmart Barbados, PSMT Caribe, Inc., PriceSmart Guatemala and PriceSmart Jamaica, among others. In fiscal 2008, the Company acquired the remaining 49% of minority interest in PriceSmart Nicaragua. Subsequently, it also acquired the remaining 10% of minority interest in PriceSmart Aruba. In October 2007, the Company acquired Regan Lodge.
