night shift, no one bothers you
Custodian (Former Employee), Roseville, CA – February 18, 2013
Pros: staff are completely helpful and nice and understand
Cons: pay wasnt so good and never offered full time so that meant no benefits
I worked from 7pm to 1am, got pretty good hours, I learned that pride industries helps people with disabilities to actually work with this company. Nice to know. Management is very professional and nice. My co workers were awesome people and still are. The hardest part of my job was trying to get the building very clean because supervisors and the city – more... of roseville were very picky and wanted everything almost perfect. The most enjoyable part of the job was when co workers would bring coffee and donuts, Also that you dont have people watching you and you get to work most of the time pretty much alone and you get the work done better. Also meeting new people at the Library was nice too. – less

Challenging and rewarding
Grounds Maintenance (Current Employee), Fairfield, CA – February 10, 2013
Productive, fun yet challenging. I work along side a group of very hard working men as well as women who strive to make the Travis Air force base look as presentable, clean and well kept as possible. The hardest part of the day is work itself. A lot of ground needs to be covered when mowing lawns and detailing, Luckily we have five crews and detail – more... crews to cover the whole base. The most enjoyable is the people I work with and being around the military. – less

Conduct on-site inspections of PRIDE employees and sub-contractors
Safety Representative (Current Employee), Fort Dix, NJ – January 28, 2013
A typical day would be reviewing safety assessments for sub-contractor work in addition to their inspections. Also on-site safety inspections of any PRIDE jobs taking place. When I'm not in the field, I conduct OSHA required training in the classroom and write policies for all safety operations.

great experience not enough work hours
Custodian (Former Employee), Roseville, CA – September 19, 2012
Pros: not having to pay for parking because its after hours.
Cons: no discount on tickets or free entry. cant get an autograph from performer
what i did for pride industries was work as a custodian. Not only did i work as a custodian but a custodian helping clean a sports and entertainment arena. At first it seemed great because you get to see what its like after everyone leaves from the stadium. the hard part was cleaning up after the people who made a mess. Also, the bigger the event the – more... bigger the mess and longer hours, not to mention i had to clean each seating section 3--4 times and the floors get real nasty. A cool thing is seeing the people that actually work for the arena tear down the event and sometimes you see the performer or sports athlete there, but it was highly looked down upon to approach or say anything to them. in this job, however, you have to be in good shape because you can get tired real quick cleaning a whole seating section let alone 7 with 15-20 people. the only thing i disliked most about the job i had with pride industries was your work was on call and depended on how big the event was. overall. it is quite a fun experience. – less

TheOneAndOnly – September 6, 2012

I disagree, I didn't see anywhere to "move up". Once your placed in a spot, the most you'll get is a possible raise once in a couple of years but your status will always stay the same. No moving up. That is misleading.
